REVIEW: The Beatles - Abbey Road

Updated: Jan 30, 2022

The Beatles are widely accepted as some of the most influential or “greatest” musicians of all time. Paul, John, George, and Ringo are considered some of the greatest to ever pick up their respective instruments. In The Beatles eleventh studio Album “Abbey Road” they translate a legendary type of sound that was completely new to the audience they were conveying it too. Abbey Road is a beautiful collection of seventeen songs, sometimes with one song being completely different then the last. This masterpiece of an emotional rollercoaster can take the listener from the highest of highs to lowest of lows all through the perspective of The Beatles. What makes The Beatles so legendary is perfectly displayed on this album. Listen to “Because” and “Here Comes The Sun” off of Abbey Road, and you will understand why The Beatles are some of the most talented and versatile musicians to ever walk this earth. The versatility of these four is what made and makes them who they are. The album opens with one of the most virtually iconic Beatles tracks of all time, “Come Together.” The intro drum beat that Ringo Star lays down to begin this track is recognizable as soon as you hear the first snap of his stick hitting his Hi-Hat. This is a gateway to the plethora of other tracks on Abbey Road that went on to become some of the progressive anthems of the beginning of the rock and roll movement. Abbey Road is one of the most complete and beautiful albums ever produced. This piece of music has truly made itself timeless and etched its place into the fabric of some of the greatest albums of all time.
